Effective as of January 1st 2007, all outdoor burning will be prohibited in the Belfair Urban Growth Area (UGA). This outdoor burning ban has been enaced by the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) which is responsible for enforcing federal, state, and local air pollution standards. All questions regarding the burning ban should be directed to ORCAA at 1-800-422-5623. Outdoor burning will still be permitted in many rural areas of the county.
