This year the weather was great for Safety Days held at Sandhill Elementary. With the help from local organizations including; US Coast Guard, Mason County Sheriffs Office, American Red Cross, Harrison Medical Center, PUD #3, Farmers Insurance, and Mason County Emergency Communications Center we were able to put on a great event. Over 500 students were taught safety basics from all of these agencies. Mason County Fire District 2 is committed to the safety of our residents and we are able to provide this through education and prevention. All students were given a home work assignment with instructions to have their parents sign for the completion of and return it to the school. A drawing will be held this week for prizes including a Razor Electric Scooter, Fire Engine Ride, and more. We hope that all the students learned from this event, but more importantly had fun. Belfair Elementary Safety Days will be held on June 11th at 9am. Parents are encouraged to join their children for the day.
