On Tuesday December 15th Fire Chief Beau Bakken presented Mike Sammons with his Lieutenant badge.  With on lookers from the community along with Mason County Fire District 2's Board of Commissionsers in attendance, Mike was called up to recieve a well deserved promotion.  Mike has been with the fire district for over five years and has been a devoted volunteer.  Recently Mike assisted with the Fire District's Academy where 20 recruits were trained in various firefighting skills.  During a recent promotional test Mike came out as one of the top candidates.

"In addition to your performance on the Fire Lieutenant test you have shown us day in and day out your unparalleled abilities and characteristics.  Over the past several months you have served as a role model and leader for so many of our newest, youngest and most impressionable members.  You have also put in numerous hours in helping our newest members get through their initial fire academy.  You selfless actions and work defines leadership"  Chief Beau Bakken stated.

It is great to have Mike as part of the Fire District 2 team, as well as the community.
