Last month the Washington State Auditor’s office conducted an audit of Mason County Fire District 2’s accountability procedures and financial statements.  The audit period looked at the years 2009 and 2010.  The Fire District is happy to report that there were no findings in the audit and that the Fire District’s history remains “finding” free.  The Fire District feels that the audit reflects the sound financial and public accountability principles that are used to guide the District’s operations.
